Points are converted to cash at a conservative per-program rate. Most programs publish no guaranteed cash value, so those rates are estimates of typical redemption value, not guarantees. Actual value depends on how you redeem. See how we value points →

Rates with strings attached

These apply only at a specific brand, or need something beyond how you spend, like a balance held with the issuer or a status tier. They are real, but we do not count them in the value above, which uses the rates any cardholder earns on ordinary spending.

This bonus is counted in full in the card's Year 1 value, and only when your spend meets the requirement. It's excluded from the ongoing value.

Who This Card Makes Sense For

  • People who reliably pay their balance in full each month. The 27.74% APR would wipe out the card's other benefits within a single billing cycle of revolving.
  • People who will spend $1,000 a month for the next 3 months anyway. That clears the $3,000 required for the $1,250 bonus, which covers the $95 fee and then some in year one.
  • People whose stays are mostly with JPMorgan Chase Bank, National Association. The 6x is where this card beats a general-purpose one, and it only applies to that spending.
